New Admin Feature: Tag Management
Tags are a powerful and flexible tool within Lineup. You can add tags to a person's profile on the fly, then use those tags to search, filter, and find them later.
Now, you can manage those tags all in one place! Just head on over to the Admin page and find the "Tags" file there. You'll see a list of all the tags that you've created. If there's one that you need to delete in bulk, you can now do so with a few clicks. Just remember that this process cannot be undone.
Custom Field Enhancements
Custom Field Descriptions
We're always adding and updating things to our custom fields. This time, we've added a way for you to document what these custom fields are intended for. To add a description, go to Admin > Custom Fields, click on the field that you'd like to describe. You'll see a new field there to add a description.
Any other users of Lineup can read these descriptions by clicking on the info icon next to the field.
New Custom Field Type: Encrypted Field
We've also added a new custom field type: encrypted fields. These fields are special in that they are encrypted within our database. Use these for highly sensitive data that you need to store within Lineup.
There are some limitations to encrypted fields to keep in mind, though. You cannot use them in search filters (because they're encrypted). They are also excluded from all exports. And lastly, they will show up as *** when viewed at first, and will only display after clicking on the eye icon.
Other Updates & Bug Fixes
- Team Forms were not saving tracked field values in some situations. Now they are.
- Long filter names will no longer result in a quick filter deletion issue.
- People who are added from the bench to the team now properly display any tracked fields that they have. This was a display issue.
