What values are updated during a Person Import?

When an email in an import matches an email currently in our Lineup pool, the Person Import tool will update the fields that were mapped.

For example, if your import includes a "years of experience" column, everyone who is already in the system will have their "years of experience" updated to what is in the spreadsheet if there is a value. If the cell is left blank for a particular person, then the value of that person's "years of experience" field will not be updated.

There a few nuances.

• Number fields must contain only numbers in them
• In order to update drop down fields, check box fields, and multi-select fields, the corresponding cells must contain the exact values of that field. For example, if you wanted to update a field with the values "Yes" and "No", then the cell
• For check box and multi-select fields (i.e. fields that can support multiple values), values will be appended to a person's current values, as opposed to overwriting them. For example, if you indicated in your bulk upload that someone liked "dogs" and they already had the value of "cats", if this field was a check box field, then that person would have the value "dogs" and "cats".
