Merge tags are shortcuts you can drop into emails, templates, and reports to automatically fill in real data - like a person's name or their team's start date. All Supported Merge Tag work as before. Now, we've added even more options and simplified the process. Remember - when you go to send out the email, we'll swap out the codes for the actual value.
Merge Tags for People
First, select your cohort of people to email using filters. Then, select "Send Email". Below the Subject line you'll see:
When you click inside the box below "Message*" you'll be able to select from People System Fields as well as People Custom Fields. Once a field is selected, click the Copy button to the right. Then click into the "message body" and paste the merge tag there. Continue with as many merge tags as you'd like! You can also search for a specific merge tag by typing in keywords into the Merge Tags search box.
Merge Tags for Teams
These work similarly to people, but with more options! The supported Merge Tags through a team will allow you to select from People System Fields, People Custom FIelds, Team Fields, Tracked Fields (called Seat Fields in the drop down menu).
Merge Tags can be Found...
You can add merge tags when emailing individuals or team members, inviting people to join your team, sending out general or team forms, sending out surveys and evaluations, or in email templates. Opportunity Listing Description have limited Merge Tag options including Team Tags, but not Person Custom Fields.
