Create a new team

Creating teams is central to what Lineup does, so we've made things simple.

1. Navigate to the Teams page (YOURCOMPANY.lineupteams.com/teams).
   
   
2. Click on the Action menu, and select "Add new team." Alternatively, you can click the arrow beside "Teams" in the menu bar and select "Create new team" from the list.
   

   

3. Name your team. Names must be unique.
   Optionally, you can give your team a start and end date (don't worry, you can add or edit them later).
   
   
4. If you set up custom team fields, you will see them below the start and end date. These are always optional.
   
   
5. Create at least one position for your team. If you want to have more than one person serving in that position, you can adjust the number of seats. Read more about positions and seats here.
   
   
   
   
6. Click "Create" and you should see your new team!
