Emails have always been important to Lineup; they ensure your people are who they say they are. Historically, Lineup handled folks with different or new email addresses by creating a secondary profile, which admins could merge. Now, Lineup supports a secondary email address!
New People
When you add a single new person you’ll see that directly below “Primary Email” is “+ Secondary Email” option. No notification or verification occurs at this point. The only thing we ensure is that the secondary email isn’t occupied by someone else in the system already.
Existing Profiles
Adding a secondary email to an existing account couldn’t be easier. Open the profile (either side profile or full-page profile). Then click to expand the Personal Info drawer, where you’ll see an option to “Add Another Email” below their primary email. Once added, you can swap Primary and Secondary email. Please note: all outgoing communications will be sent to the Primary email account.
Some Notes:
- Secondary email addresses can not be bulk uploaded.
- If a secondary email address is already assigned, you can update bulk information (via the bulk uploader) using their secondary email address.
- Secondary email addresses cannot be added through forms. If a secondary email address has already been assigned, it will display on a form as read-only.
- If you are a Lineup Portal user, your people will be able to add their own secondary email address. This will trigger an email verification.
